Meet Evangelist Debbie Morse
Faithful Leader, Compassionate Encourager, & Vessel of God’s Wisdom
Debbie L. Morse is the younger of two children born to the late Mrs. Ludie Arnold and the late Mr. William Arnold. She was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She joined Enon Baptist Church and served in various capacities including musician for the youth and gospel choirs.
Having been educating in the Atlanta Public School System, Evangelist Morse furthered her education at Georgia State University where she earned an Associate of Arts and a Bachelor of Science degrees. Evangelist Morse relocated to Savannah, Georgia in 1983. Using her gift of music, God led her to be the co-founder of the St. Philip Monumental Young Adult Choir and the Old Georgia African Methodist Episcopal Church Conference Choir.
In October of 1999, she accepted her call into the ministry of preaching the gospel. In May 2002, Evangelist Morse received her Certificate of Evangelism and in April 2009, she was ordained as a Local Deacon. In March 2011, she was ordained as a Local Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. God later called Evangelist Morse to the Prophetic office. Rev. Debbie, as she is affectionately known, presently serves as the Minister of Music and is on the ministerial staff at the Pleasant Grove A.M.E. Church in Hinesville, Georgia. Rev. Debbie serves as the Praise and Worship Leader and President of the Women of Destiny Ministry.
God has given Evangelist Morse a passion for helping hurting women through encouragement, praying for them, and helping to pull out all that God has put in them. She desires to help “stir up their gifts” so they can walk in purpose and destiny. This led her to host a radio show entitled “Beauty for Ashes”. Rev. Debbie also has a heart for the youth and their spiritual development.
In 2013, God broadened Rev. Debbie’s ministry by leading her to host “Around the Table with Debbie,” a guest panel who discusses various topics of concern and interests. Evangelist Morse now has a Facebook “Live” Broadcast, “Beauty for Ashes Inspirational Ten,” each Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Rev. Debbie is a true worshipper. Her hunger for more of God motivates her to draw closer to and go deeper in Him. Her determination is to take her worship to a new dimension and to become a better servant of God, and as she puts it, to stay in the “Flow” of God. Rev. Debbie’s daily goal is to always be a good representative for God and to always put GOD FIRST! Evangelist Morse is married to Pastor John E. Morse, Jr., and they have two beautiful daughters, Jessica and Jennifer.
